QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS OF OPENING ORTHODOX CHURCHES AND PRAYER HOUSES WITHIN OCCUPIED TERRITORY OF ROSTOV REGION IN THE YEARS OF THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR

Abstract. The article on the basis of a wide range of archival sources provides the statistics on opening the churches and prayer houses of Rostov region in the period of occupation during the years of the Great Patriotic War and in the post-occupational period. The calculations were made on the basis of the registration files of the Fund of the Commissioner of the Council for the Affairs of the Russian Orthodox Church on Rostov Region of the State Archive of Rostov region. The author concludes that the prevailing number of openings falls on the occupation period.
