SOCIAL NETWORKS AND THEIR BASIC SOCIAL AND ONTOLOGICAL FEATURES

Abstract. The article reveals the key ontological characteristics of social networks influencing the realization of communicative and cognitive practices in them. For this purpose the author examines the spatial-temporal continuum of social networks, the relevant forms of subjectivity and the peculiarities of cognitive processes in social networks. The paper identifies the complicated, autopoietic nature of social networks, which can be used while modeling socio-technical environments and managing socio-network communities.
