LEGISLATION OF THE 1840-1870S IN THE SPHERE OF EDUCATION AS A FACTOR FOR INTEGRATION OF CAUCASIAN SCHOOL INTO THE RUSSIAN SYSTEM OF NATIONAL EDUCATION

Abstract. The article examines a set of legislative acts determining the development of the system of national enlightenment in the Caucasian educational district in the 40-70s of the XIX century. The paper analyzes their interrelation with the all-Russian regulations for Russian high and primary educational institutions. The author shows the development of the tendency for the integration of Caucasian school into the national educational space but taking into account local peculiarities and the needs of the socio-economic development of the region in certain cases.
