NETWORK APPROACH APPLICATION TO THE STUDY OF POLITICAL ELITES

Abstract. The article analyses foreign and Russian studies considering elites network structure. The potential of elites studies with the use of network approach in Russia is denoted. The author comes to the conclusion about the significance of studying the impact of elites network structure on decision making by its actors, elites recruitment phenomenon and the significance of studying network structure for the examination of political process and clan system phenomenon in Russia.
