INDIAN TELEVISION NETWORK ZEEL: SPECIFICS OF DEVELOPING THE RUSSIAN MARKET

Abstract. The article addresses specialists of tele-industry and has applied significance. By the practical example of the TV channel of Indian movie and soap operas the author argues for the necessity to develop and follow the marketing strategy and to adapt the program policy according to the broadcasting territory. While introducing a new TV channel with the full or partial presence of foreign content in the viewing grid into the market it’s very important to consider the peculiarities of the perception of the audience according to territorial and national features.
