SOCIO-ECONOMIC SITUATION IN THE TEREK REGION AT THE TURN OF THE XIX-XX CENTURIES AND ITS INFLUENCE ON INGUSHETIA

Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of the socio-economic development in the Terek region during the last years of the XX - the first years of the XX century. Special attention is paid to the events in Ingushetia, which are compared with the economic situation of the population in other parts of the Terek region. The issues of the development of agricultural sector, the distribution of land, and interconnections between economic and socio-political problems are considered in detail. The strong interrelation of socio-economic realia in the region with the general situation in the country is studied; the high degree of the dependence of the economic realia of the Terek region in general and in Ingushetia in particular on the steps of the government in the field of socio-economic reformation at the turn of the centuries is shown.
