INFORMAL METHODS OF POPULARIZATION OF SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE IN TECHNICAL MUSEUMS

Abstract. In the article the possibilities of technical museums in tasks solution on the popularization of scientific knowledge are studied. The author reveals the content of the concepts "culture of participation", "interactivity", and "discussion terminal". Attention is paid to the consideration of the specificity of technical museums, which is related to their visual-demonstrational capabilities. A number of methods aimed at the development of the visitor’s cognitive interest in the museum are suggested.
