Abstract. The article analyzes the development trends of higher education in North Ossetia in the conditions of scientific and technological revolution in the second half of the 1950s - the 1960s. The author studies the problems of the spread of part-time and evening-time education, the development of technical disciplines, and the involvement of indigenous nationalities representatives in higher education establishments. The conclusion is made about the correspondence of the processes of higher school reformation with the needs of social development.
