Abstract. The topicality of this article is explained by the fact that the modern development of technical activity has undesirable social impact on all the spheres of our life. In this situation it is necessary to conduct special researches of the mechanisms of its development. The author shows the role of culture in the working out of norms and values providing an opportunity for the direction of the development of technical activity, which guarantees the reliability and predictability of its results.
