EVOLUTION IN UNDERSTANDING PERSONALITY’S CREATIVE POTENTIAL IN CLASSICAL PHILOSOPHICAL THOUGHT

Abstract. The article focuses on the problems of evolution in understanding the essence, content and process of creation in socio-philosophical thought. The authors provide a philosophical interpretation of various aspects of creation throughout history, which not only enriches empirical knowledge of nature and a human but also can serve as a basis to develop comprehensive methods for the analysis of complicated philosophical and psychological categories. The paper analyzes approaches of ancient philosophers, medieval Christian philosophers to interpreting the category of creation and summarizes views on the nature of creative potential in the epoch of Enlightenment and the Reformation epoch.
