INFORMATION WAR AS A TYPE OF INTERACTION BETWEEN CIVILIZATIONS

Abstract. In this article from the perspective of culturological theory information war as a main type of interaction between civilizations in the era of media domination is analyzed. The author shows the distinction in the kind of the roles of information influence in traditional and modern societies; and proves that information war creates a situation of "unbalanced cultural exchange", which becomes a powerful factor in the marginalization of society, the increase of crime, different spiritual pathologies, the feeling of dissatisfaction, anxiety and confusion among millions of people.
