RUSSIAN CUISINE: THE PAST AND THE PRESENT

Abstract. The article examines the issue of the Russian cuisine. Nowadays the theme of nutrition is present in the programmes of forums, conferences. The appeal of the traditional cuisine in the opinion of the contemporary population is connected with the ideas about its correspondence to the healthy life-style. The active development of this theme in the Russian Federation has become especially prominent recently. The paper describes and analyzes the events in our country devoted to the preservation and popularization of the Russian cuisine.
