"SPEAKING ABOUT THE NEW NOTHING NEW IS DONE...": ON THE CHARACTERISTIC OF THE KOMSOMOL ACTIVITY STYLE AT THE TURN OF THE 1950-1960S

Abstract. The article shows that at the turn of the 1950-1960s the Komsomol had very contradictory influence on the Soviet youth’s political culture. On the one hand, in the activity of the Komsomol high-ranking functionaries conservative tendencies were revealed and they consolidated the subject type of political culture. At the same time both the Komsomol activists and the Komsomol-youth press demonstrated aspiration for the search of new forms of working with young people, the refusal of authoritarianism, which promoted the introduction of the elements of the political culture of the activist type.
