CONCEPTION OF CULTURAL TRAUMA AND POSSIBILITY OF ITS APPLICATION TO HISTORIC EVENTS INTERPRETATION

Abstract. The article analyzes a contemporary sociologic theory of cultural trauma that appeared as a result of the transfer of the notion "psychic trauma" in social sciences. The main features making up the term definition are formulated. The possibility of using the conception of cultural trauma in the interpretation of the consequences of large-scale historic events having negative consequences for a man is examined.
