THE ORGANIZATION AND MAIN DIRECTIONS OF RESETTLEMENT ADMINISTRATION WORK IN SEMIPALATINSK REGION AT THE END OF THE XIX - THE BEGINNING OF THE XX CENTURY

Abstract. The article deals with the organization and directions of the activity of the resettlement administration within the territorial boundaries of Semipalatinsk region at the end of the XIX - the beginning of the XX century. In order to prevent the chaos and disorders in the region, in the conditions of a large influx of resettlers to the Steppes region, the resettlement administration carried out a large-scale work. They provided agronomic, medical, veterinary, food aid to newly settled people, promoted actively the cultural and economic arrangement of the resettlers and supported them spiritually and morally.
