Abstract. The article analyzes the practice of the application of the extreme form of disciplinary sanctions - exclusion as a way of the qualitative composition regulation of the post-war All-Union Leninist Young Communist League. A conclusion is made about the close dependence of disciplinary policy on current social problems and state interests. The basis for exclusion in the post-war years was the misbehaviour of the state nature and mainly of the economic plan. The social composition of the excluded Komsomol members, in which the leading positions were occupied by the workers, testifies to the practical inefficiency of the traditional rate of the Komsomol leadership for strengthening the "proletarian core" in the union as a basis of its organizational and ideological strength.
