Abstract. The article examines peculiarities of wholesale customers’ contribution to wholesale fur trade development in North-Eastern Siberia at the end of the XIX - the beginning of the XX century. Having analyzed the role of the industry leaders’ key customers the author identified that they promoted wholesale fur trade development securing growth of capital turnover, reducing risks of accidental damages. The customer network influenced formation of commercial specialization and unique commercial experience of the firms.
