A. GOLDFADEN’S DRAMATURGY: ORIGINS, GENRES, SCENIC DESTINY

Abstract. The article examines origins and peculiarities of Abraham Goldfaden’s dramaturgy, its genre spectrum, specificity of the Russian translations, scenic destiny of the plays. The paper shows that na?ve, largely imitative Goldfaden’s plays influenced development of the Jewish theatre in Russia and were widely perceived.
