Abstract. The article examines philosophical problems that the traditional logic, a necessary instrument and condition of cognitive process, comes across. In particular, the author analyzes contradictions between the classical logic standards and requirements of the modern science methodology. The a priori nature of the classical logic’s postulates presupposes its limitations and establishes a range of problems, the solution of which is obligatory for modern cognition. Logic is considered not only as an element of scientific cognition but as a component of educational process.
