THE PROBLEM OF THE RELATIONSHIP OF HEAVEN AND HUMAN IN ANCIENT CHINESE PHILOSOPHY

Abstract. The study of the relationship of heaven and human is an important issue in ancient Chinese philosophy. Heaven here is not fully equated with nature, the doctrine of heaven and human does not stop at the study of relations of man and nature. The article deals with the character of the relationship between heaven and human as a whole, the interrelation between the heavenly Dao and social norms, and compares the approaches of the Confucians, Daoists and Buddhists in the historical aspect. Despite the differences, they all agree that heaven is the embodiment of higher intelligence, justice, and its function is to regulate the order, punishment and reward of every person in accordance with his / her moral image.
