FEATURES OF CHILIASTIC ANTISYSTEMS (BY THE EXAMPLE OF THE "WHITE LOTUS" MOVEMENT)

Abstract. The work is devoted to the study of chiliastic antisystems: socio-spiritual entities professing a syncretic, denying the world doctrine and seeking to destroy the existing social reality in the name of utopian ideals. The main features of the anti-system structure and activity are examined by the example of the "White Lotus" - a sectarian confederation that operated in medieval China. But all of its features also appear to be inherent in radical Islamism - the modern anti-system movement, which was formed under completely different conditions and threatens the world today.
