Abstract. The article examines living conditions of health care workers, who lived by themselves in Sverdlovsk region. The author analyzes the key indicator of the mentioned citizens’ living standards - the level of their monetary expenses. The researcher used the materials of fiscal surveys of the State Archives of Sverdlovsk Region, the current archives of the Territorial Office of the Federal State Statistics Service of Sverdlovsk region and the Center of Documentation of Public Organizations of Sverdlovsk region. The paper analyzes in detail the level of monetary expenses of the two most typical medical workers - a physician and a nurse.
