KEY MECHANISMS FOR FORMING ETHNIC AND CIVIL IDENTITY OF MODERN YOUTH IN PUBLIC ORGANIZATIONS OF THE REPUBLIC OF TATARSTAN

Abstract. Basing on the analysis of documentation and public organizations reporting, surveys and interviews with the representatives of the public associations of the Republic of Tatarstan, which were conducted in 2017-2018, the article considers the problem of the correlation of civil and ethnic identity. The authors give the general characteristics of organizations as institutions for the formation of identities. Also, the key mechanisms for the transformation of modern youth’s identities within the framework of the public organization activity are defined. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the technologies used in the process of identity development among socially active youth.
