NONCOMMISSIONED OFFICERS’ TRAINING IN OMSK MILITARY DISTRICT DURING THE FIRST WORLD WAR

Abstract. The article considers the organization of noncommissioned officers’ training for reserve forces and field forces in the period of the First World War of 1914-1918. Analyzing the documentation of military reserve forces as well as scientific and methodological literature intended to train noncommissioned officers and warrant officers the author identifies the basic sources of staffing the Russian army with noncommissioned officers. Special attention is paid to the functioning of the reserve training units of Omsk military district. The mentioned sources allow the author to reconstruct the process of junior officers’ training in the reserve training units of Omsk military district.
