COLLABORATORS’ IDENTIFICATION AMONG THE REPATRIATED POPULATION FROM 1942 TILL 1945 (BY THE MATERIALS OF KALUGA REGION)

Abstract. In the article, on the basis of archival documents from the funds of the State Archives of Documents on Contemporary History of Kaluga region and other regional archives the problem of collaborators’ identification in the stream of the repatriated population in Kaluga region from 1942 till 1945 is considered. The extent, mechanism and results of the filtration procedure, as well as its impact on certain repatriates and collaborators’ destinies are shown. The conclusion on the ambiguity of the results of the Soviet power’s policy in relation to the repatriated in the region and the influence of various external factors on determining the revealed collaborators’ measure of fault is drawn.
