ATTITUDE OF THE YAKUT SOCIAL DEMOCRATS AND SOCIALIST REVOLUTIONARIES TOWARDS THE POLICY OF THE RUSSIAN PROVISIONAL GOVERNMENT

Abstract. The article considers the attitude of the Yakut Socialist Revolutionary Party Committee and the Yakut Russian Social Democratic Labour Party Committee towards the policy of the Russian Provisional Government in March - October 1917. The analysis of the party press and archival documents has allowed the author to trace the local socialists’ perception of the Russian Provisional Government, changes in its structure, and crises in its activity. Regional peculiarities of the Yakut Socialists’ attitude in the period of the February Revolution are identified. The paper concludes that the Yakut Committees of the Socialist Revolutionary Party and the Social Democratic Labour Party mostly supported the policy of the Russian Provisional Government.
