ANALYSIS OF SECONDARY SCHOOL TEXTBOOKS ON THE NATIVE (UDMURT) LANGUAGE IN THE ASPECT OF WORK ON SPEECH DEVELOPMENT

Abstract. The article discusses the problem of forming learners’ communicative competence in the process of teaching the native (Udmurt) language. The author justifies the necessity to develop communicative skills, summarizes views of famous researchers on this issue. The study is based on analysing modern textbooks on the native (Udmurt) language from the viewpoint of their efficiency when forming communicative competence; the paper introduces a system of communicatively oriented exercises and clarifies their role in speech development.
