Abstract.
This research aims to create a model for music lessons with an axiological focus within the general education system, based on an analysis of the value potential of musical art. The article reveals key positions in research describing the value potential of musical art. Approaches from philosophers and art historians are presented, emphasizing the interconnection of music with other art forms, history, science, and life as a whole. Particular attention is paid to intonations, the value meanings hidden within them, and the archetypes of musical images. A classification of universal human values reflected in musical art, proposed by G. G. Kolomiets, is presented. The article describes the author's model for music lessons with an axiological focus, detailing its main components, as well as its theoretical and methodological foundations. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the fact that in it, philosophical justifications for the value of music have found direct methodological application in the author's pedagogical model of music lessons with an axiological focus. As a result of the conducted research, the attitude of seventh-grade students towards universal human values has been analyzed, and the results of the six-month implementation of this model into pedagogical practice are presented.
