Abstract.
The literary portrait is an expression of the principle of typification and individualization, as well as an important means of literary image creation. A narrative description of the portrait is enhanced with the help of gestures, facial expressions, behavioural aspects that could indicate the nature of the inner world and the external features of a lyrical hero. The portrait of a poetic heritage of the Kazan poet G. N. Kapranov performs the psychological function, and symptomatic, kinetic gestures indicate it.
