Abstract.
The article discovers the linguistic aspect of transposition of the film “The Dawns Here are Quiet” into the English cultural space. Comparison of the original and translated film versions is made at the prosodic, grammatical, lexical and intertextual levels. At each of the levels the author identifies the cases of linguistic and cultural conflicts of the original and translation, reveals their reasons and evaluates their importance while perceiving the film in English.
