MULTIPLICITY OF DEATH ARCHETYPE EXPRESSIONS IN AMBROSE BIERCE’S "WAR NOVELLAS"

Abstract. The projections of Death archetype in Ambrose Bierce’s "War Novellas" are analyzed in the article. The mythological, Christian and philosophical codes of Death archetype implications in the writer’s short stories collection are highlighted. In the author’s understanding Death has a wide scale of manifestations remaining in the archetype framework.
