CHRONOTOPOS OF CHILDHOOD IN CREATIVE WORKS OF IAN McEWAN

Abstract. The article examines the specificity of the time and space of childhood world in the creative works of the contemporary English writer Ian McEwan. The most significant aspects possessing chronotopic peculiarities are highlighted. The relations of the world of childhood and the world of adults are analyzed; the ways of clearing their borders are specified. On the basis of the analysis of several works the concept of childhood is formulated, peculiar for the writer’s creative works.
