SPECIFICITY OF SCIENTIFIC CONCEPT "TIME" IN ENGLISH AND RUSSIAN LANGUAGES

Abstract. The author considers various approaches to the study of concepts, determines the main universal features of the scientific concept "time", analyzes the verbal ways of their representation in the English and Russian languages, and tells that new in this article is the purpose to compare scientific and literary concepts, which allows determining the similarities and differences between the mental and language nature of this phenomenon, and enables to study the question of the correlation between language and thought more deeply and completely.
