UNITY OF GROTESQUE HERO TYPE MODELLING IN A. V. SUKHOVO-KOBYLIN AND N. R. ERDMAN’S DRAMATURGY AS PLAYWRIGHTS’ CREATIVE THINKING SIMILARITY FACT

Abstract. The author discusses the problem of the connection between A. V. Sukhovo-Kobylin and N. R. Erdman’s creative conceptions, shows the proximity of the playwrights’ artistic world-modelling methods by means of the analysis of grotesque characters from the plays "The Case", "Tarelkin’s Death", "The Mandate", "The Suicide" and the revelation of typological similarity between them, concludes that the unity of the modelling and functioning of this literary type is the evidence of typological similarities between the playwrights’ artistic conceptions, and tells that it opens new horizons for the study of their artistic heritage.
