GENESIS OF THEORETICAL IDEAS ABOUT ADDRESSED LYRIC POETRY IN STUDY OF RUSSIAN LITERATURE IN THE XVIII XX TH CENTURIES

Abstract. The article considers the genesis of literary and critical ideas about addressed lyric poetry in the study of Russian literature in the XVIII XX th centuries, characterizes the stages of theoretical ground of such poetic genre as epistle. Main attention is given to the analysis of theoretical reflections of the poetic epistle genre in works by V. Trediakovsky, A. Sumarokov, D. Fonvizin, M. Talyzin, N. Ostolopov, N. Gretsch, A. Merzlyakov, V. Zhukovsky, Y. Tynyanov, L. Ginzburg. The author also aims at analyzing the genre specificity of poetic epistle as well as defining the main trends of its research by modern study of literature.
