Abstract. The article considers Venice as the special space in which a person through the sensual contact with beauty of the city attains the new meaning of life, reveals the hidden truth. The city becomes an occurrence of truth and beauty for many Russian poets, the opportunity to see the aesthetically structured reality in which the unity of life and art is preserved.
