LEXEMES HUNGER, THIRST, SATIETY, APPETITE IN ENGLISH AND UKRAINIAN PHRASEOLOGY (STRUCTURAL-SEMANTIC ASPECT)

Abstract. The author reveals the features of using the phraseological units denoting such human natural feelings as hunger, thirst, satiety and appetite within the framework of structural-semantic approach by the material of the English and Ukrainian languages, pays special attention to the linguo-cultural characteristics of the studied phraseological units, and uses the methods of comparative analysis, the analysis of dictionary definitions, etymological analysis.
