GENERAL SCIENTIFIC TERMS FUNCTIONING IN ENGLISH DISCOURSE OF CLASSICAL SCIENCES

Abstract. The author suggests the methods of studying the general scientific terms functioning in classical discourse; reveals the models of compatibility, studies the extent of these models productivity, analyzes lexical content for the terms of the group of "scientific knowledge systematization and organization" by the material of scientific articles texts in the English language on philosophical, philological and historical disciplines; and tells that the suggested approach, based on the analysis of discourse vocabulary, can be extended to study the functioning of other terms groups, and in the future it may help to identify the mechanisms of scientific knowledge generation.
