THE SPECIFICITY OF LANGUAGE CONCEPTUALIZATION IN THE ENGLISH-LANGUAGE AND RUSSIAN-LANGUAGE DISCOURSES

Abstract. In the article the author analyzes the peculiarities of conceptualization of Russian and English in consciousness of their native speakers on the basis of recurrent metaphorical expressions in the English-language and Russian-language discourses, and this allows identifying the conceptual metaphors they contain. Similarities and differences in functioning conceptual metaphors and the specificity of linguistic means used for their representation are shown.
