INTERTEXTUAL INTERRELATIONS WITH THE FABULOUS TEXTS AS A FACTOR OF TEXT FORMATION IN THE NOVEL BY TERRY PRATCHETT "WITCHES ABROAD"

Abstract. The article examines intertextual relations of the novel by Terry Pratchett "Witches Abroad" and numerous fabulous texts. The authors identify and analyze the basic types of intertextual elements represented in the novel; according to the authors, allusions to the most popular fabulous texts is the basic type of intertextual inclusions in the novel. The paper argues that numerous intertextual relations with the fabulous texts perform a text-forming function in the novel and form the basis for the development of a story.
