THE EXPRESSION OF SUBJECTIVE MODALITY IN LIVE TEXT COMMENTARIES OF SPORT COMPETITIONS

Abstract. In connection with the rapid development of information technologies and the constant consumption of electronic network, more new products appear, one of which is live text commentary - the form of live sportscast. The article presents the research of means expressing subjective modality in the live text commentaries of football, boxing and figure skating. The author focuses on the fact that subjective modality in such kind of text is created by the sportscaster’s emotional state which is expressed by both lexical units and appropriate means of speech prosody.
