WAR AS A CARNIVAL OF DEATH (BY THE MATERIAL OF Z. PRILEPIN'S NOVEL "THE PATHOLOGIES")

Abstract. In the article the authors analyze the artistic originality of Z. Prilepin's novel "The Pathologies" for the first time, reveal the peculiarities of the writer's creative thinking. M. M. Bakhtin's carnival conception plays an important role in the understanding of specificity of the novel artistic idea. The chosen in the article aspect allows proving the presence of the author's strategy in the realization of the thesis "war - a carnival of death".
