THE IMAGE OF V. P. BURENIN IN THE PARODIC LITERATURE OF THE BEGINNING OF THE XX CENTURY

Abstract. In the article the issue of the perception of the image of the notorious critic and the writer of the second half of the XIX century- the beginning of the XX century V. P. Burenin in the parodies of the beginning of the XX century is raised. The author analyzes the collections of parodies by A. A. Izmailov and E. Venskii, satirical articles and pictures from the journal "Satyricon" and emphasizes that in all satirical parodies the dishonourable methods of controversy and anti-Semitic attacks of Burenin are mocked.
