BORROWINGS FROM THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE INTO THE FRENCH IN THE SPHERE OF TOURISM

Shamsutdinova Al'bina Ravilevna
Volga Region State Academy of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism

Abstract. The article examines the problems of borrowing the vocabulary in the sphere of tourism from the English language into the French. As it is shown, the French Academy, concerned about the growing number of borrowings, tries to sort them out and suggests their French equivalents. On the basis of the conducted research the author identifies that the officially recommended substitutes of the French origin are firmly entrenched in the French explanatory dictionaries. But certain terms in the language of tourism borrowed from the English language more accurately represent the semantics appropriate to the situation.
Key words and phrases: английские заимствования, англицизмы, заимствования во французском языке, официально рекомендованные заменители, эквивалент, семантика, English borrowings, Anglicisms, borrowings in the French language, officially recommended substitutes, equivalent, semantics
