PROBLEM OF SPECIFICS OF THE MEANING OF AN ARCHETYPE OF A WEREWOLF IN THE POEM -TALE "THE SWAIN" BY M. I. TSVETAEVA

Abstract. The article considers the problem of specifics of the meaning of an archetype of a werewolf in the poem-tale by M. I. Tsvetaeva "The Swain". Analyzing the symbolic lines associated with an archetype of a werewolf in Tsvetaeva’s text the author concludes that the functioning of this "archetype" in Tsvetaeva’s poetics is based both on the traditional device widely used in the folkloric and literary practice and on the poet’s specific world outlook.
