HISTORY OF COMPOUND SENTENCE STUDY IN "GRAMMAR OF THE OSSETIC LANGUAGE"

Abstract. In the article the author carries out the analysis of compound sentences classification of the Ossetic language represented in "Grammar of the Ossetic Language" from the perspective of structural-semantic approach. Such approach is a leading one now as it is based on the account of the whole complex of structural features which are typical for compound sentences as special syntactic units and grammar meanings which are connected directly with the mentioned features. This allows identifying and considering sequentially a variety of types of compound sentences taking into account their structural and semantic peculiarities, describing the specificity of a compound sentence, its connection with a word combination and a simple sentence.
