Abstract. The article substantiates the hypothesis that there is a relationship of continuity between poems in prose and Internet miniatures resulting from the stereotyping of a speech structure of this genre. Poems in prose and Internet miniatures are compared by a communicative and pragmatic parameter of the profiles of the speech genre "image of the author" according to the characteristics of the linguistic personality of a speech producer and the subject of narration selected by him. General and distinctive features of two genres are identified.
