PROCESSES OF IMPLICATION AND EXPLICATION AS METHODS OF PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS ACTUALIZATION IN PROSAIC DISCOURSE

Abstract. The present paper is devoted to the study of transformed phraseological units, their occasional actualization through individual-author’s conversions, as well as the use of such methods of lexical and structural-semantic processing of phraseological units as the processes of implication and explication. The author uses the examples taken from the works of Julian Barnes - one of the most prominent novelists of modern Britain - as factual illustrative material.
