TYPES AND FORMS OF STUDENTS’ AUTONOMOUS WORK ON STUDYING A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

Abstract. Relying on the study of the existing classifications of the types and forms of students’ autonomous work, analysis of the basis goals of foreign language teaching at a higher school and the goals of students’ autonomous work the paper introduces author’s original classification of the types and forms of students’ autonomous work on studying a foreign language at a non-linguistic higher school. The special attention is paid to the types of autonomous work taking into account its informational and methodological provision.
