THE VERB IN THE GRAMMAR BY HIERONIMUS MEGISER "INSTITUTIONUM LINGUAE TURCICAE LIBRI QUATUOR" ("BASIC RULES OF THE TURKIC LANGUAGE") OF 1612

Abstract. The article is devoted to the grammar by Hieronimus Megiser "Institutionum linguae Turcicae libri quatuor" ("Basic rules of the Turkic language") of 1612 - the first scientific grammar of the Turkic languages. The special attention is paid to the analysis of the category of tense of the verb. Hieronimus Megiser examines this part of speech through the prism of the Latin language. For more detailed analysis the author also uses the material of the readers.
